Astro boy,is one of the first attempts of an Asian tech berthed hero. Sure he is not as high tech as the tech berthed heroes of today but he has rockets for feet... Yes but it was with this little boy that the anime business sparked and lead to the creation of more tech berthed heroes like Mega man (the cooler astro boy).Astro boy is capable of flight (duh) and saves the day with his slightly above average strength. Astro boy was one of the first anime characters to attain this level of popularity, which is up to now a mystery to me.
